Dieting while Traveling
I'm telling you, being on a diet while traveling is REALLY hard. First off, you consume a lot of energy while you're traveling, what, with all the walking around and seeing the sights so naturally, you have to eat to replenish your strength.
Second, if you're on a calorie count diet, it would be hard to taste the local delicacies if you don't know how much calories each dish have. However, if you don't plan on tasting anything local, you can probably stick to your diet the whole time you're traveling. I've experienced this a few years back. I was on a diet and traveling on a budget so I bought some protein bars with me.
The protein bars turned out to be actually pretty convenient. I don't have to stop and find a restaurant when I'm hungry, I just have to whip out my protein bar and enjoy the sights while eating. And guess how much I saved on my meals alone! So the next time you're traveling on a budget or if you're on a diet while traveling, pack yourself some protein bars.
