Man, I wish that that Asian nations would get it together and do a similar European Parliament so we can have our own united currency and make traveling in and around Asia easier. Recently, the EU Parliament mandated wireless carriers of member nations to cut roaming charges for Europeans traveling within Europe. Now just imagine how hassle free traveling in Europe would be without having to worry about expensive international calling charges when arriving home.

I for one use roaming a lot when traveling because buying a prepaid simcard is too much of a hassle for me. Roaming keeps me in touch with my family unlike buying prepaid sim wherein I have to text or call home first to inform them of my new number. Of course, the EU did not rule on data charges but incoming and outgoing calls are more important than roaming data charges. Besides, anything is better than nothing.
