Whenever I make my itinerary when visiting other countries, I really don’t try to include museums. You probably think, WHY?!! Museums are like, the most visited places by tourists, right? Well, yeah but I’m not really a museum type of gal.

However, just because you’re not the museum going type, it doesn’t mean you should strike that out from your itinerary. Some places don’t really have a lot of interesting sites and you might find yourself trudging over to their local museum.

Museums are not all bad. You can actually find a lot of information about the local’s culture in museums. I’ve always thought museums were just all about art and paintings but some actually have antique collections, statutes, relics, etc. In fact, my recent trip to a local art museum has made me interested in art and stuff. Sure, I still can’t distinguish between modern art and abstract art but I’m getting to the point wherein I appreciate paintings.

In fact, I’m recently thinking about purchasing my first wall art from mywhitewalls.com (see picture inset). No, it’s not made by anyone famous but I thought I might liven up my walls.

So next time you’re in a new place, try visiting a museum and like me, you might discover something new about yourself.
