Caribbean New Destination for those not going to Mexico

Because there is still the Swine Flu outbreak in Mexico, resorts in the Caribbean are reporting a jump in tourism as some vacationers bound for Mexico veered away from the place and headed to the nearby Caribbean.

Travel Agents in the UK are recommending Jamaica and Dominican Republic as they are the nearest destinations and also affordable. Cruise Ships bound for Mexico diverted to these two places as well as the US Virgin Islands. Because of the jump in the demand, there are reports that airfare to the Caribbean has skyrocketed.

If you are already booked for Mexico and you're worried about the Swine Flu, try heading for any nearby countries or ask your travel agent if you can rebook to another date, preferably, when the H1N1 virus has died down.
