Emergency Rule in Thailand Extended

If you're thinking of visiting Thailand for pleasure, particularly Bangkok, you might want to hold off your travel until the unrest in Thailand settles. There have been several violent protests in the city of Bangkok over the past weeks, trying to oust the current Prime Minister. Several countries have already issued travel advisories and tourists are advised to defer their travels to Bangkok and for those already in the area, to avoid public places where they might get caught in the protests.

The Southeast Asian Nations Summit has already been cancelled due to these protests.
