I've previously blogged about some sites to see in Alaska but it seems you might want to put your trip on hold afterAlaska Airlines suspended its remaining flights in and out of Anchorage for this Saturday night due to the eruption of Mt. Redoubt at 3:40 P.M.

Alaska Airlines had to cancel its flight due to ash clouds that poses a great risk to air travel. After Alaska Airlines suspended its flight, the Anchorage International Airport ceased all operations at about 6 P.M. because of volcanic ash falling in the area.

Real bummer but I guess it's always safety first when it comes to travel.
